I’m a 20-something indie author, librarian, vegetarian, home chef, crafter, motorcycle loving, happily partnered, native New Englander.
My formal education includes a BA from Brandeis University in History (concentration on US History) and English and American Literature with a minor in Religious Studies and a Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Simmons College.
I got my first professional-level librarian job in March 2012 at an academic library in support of one of the medical schools in the Boston area, but I have been working in libraries (of a wide variety) since October 2004. I love helping people of all ages and backgrounds find information they need or want for work/school or pleasure.
I’m proud to be an indie author. I publish in ebook formats accessible from multiple platforms, print books, online magazines, and print magazines. Please do take a moment to check out my Publications page. I write a wide variety of genres, including: scifi, horror, paranormal romance, and literary.
As for the genres you’ll find reviewed on this blog, I enjoy a wide variety! I like scifi, horror, paranormal romance, urban fantasy, cozies, thrillers, historical fiction, memoirs, nonfiction (health and fitness, vegetarian and vegan cookbooks, history), and more! Please check out my Review Policies page for more details, particularly if you are interested in submitting a review copy.
I believe that people with mental illnesses should be loved and helped, not stigmatized or demonized. Due to my passion for those struggling with mental illnesses and their loved ones, I created the Mental Illness Advocacy (MIA) Reading Challenge. Please do take a moment to check out the dedicated page and consider broadening your reading horizons!
I am also incredibly into health and fitness within the context of body positivity. I’m passionate about improving not just my health, but public health in general.
I enjoy all crafts, but have found a particular talent for cross-stitching and creating cross-stitch patterns. I sell both patterns and completed items in my Etsy shop.
My pinterest contains a wide variety of boards from veggie recipes I want to try making, to new cross-stitch patterns that intrigue me, to health and wellness tips, to home designs I love. Plus I always move the pins I complete to my “pinned it and did it” board and provide any relevant feedback.
“Wolfy” is an internet nickname I’ve picked up somehow. There are a few people/groups online who know me that way, so I have a tendency to call myself that on WordPress, but I’m no longer using it to maintain anonymity. (My real name is on the Creative Commons license on the right).
