About
I’m a 20-something, unmarried, child-free Bostonian! I love animals, actively advocate for animal rights, and have been a vegetarian since January 1, 2007. I consider myself to be an agnostic humanist, although a friend jokingly said I’m more like a hedonist humanist.
As for my credentials, I received my BA from Brandeis University in History (concentration on US History) and English and American Literature with a minor in Religious Studies. I graduated in January of 2011 with my MLIS from Simmons College.
I just got a new professional-level librarian job in March 2012. It’s at an academic library in support of one of the medical schools in the Boston area. It’s hard to believe the right job for me showed up in the city I love! Someone pinch me!
I also write and publish to the Kindle format, Smashwords, online magazines, and print magazines. Please do take a moment to check out my Publications page.
I believe that people with mental illnesses should be loved and helped, not stigmatized or demonized. Due to my passion for those struggling with mental illnesses and their loved ones, I created the Mental Illness Advocacy (MIA) Reading Challenge. Please do take a moment to check out the dedicated page and consider broadening your reading horizons!
As for the genres you’ll find on this blog, I enjoy a wide variety! I like horror, dystopias, post-apocalyptic settings, paranormal, romance, classics, scifi, urban fantasy, memoirs, nonfiction (science, environmental, history, civil rights), graphic novels, and probably others I’m forgetting to mention.
I am also incredibly into health and fitness. I’m passionate about improving not just my health, but public health in general. I generally funnel this passion into the awesome world of fitspo tumblrs. But my tumblr also covers things like current events, feminism, and nerdiness in general.
Feel free to comment, but if I know you in real life, please let me know who you are. It’s ok to let me know via email or whatever what your pseudonym is if you wish to stay anonymous to the more general interwebs.
PS “Wolfy” is an internet nickname I’ve picked up somehow. There are a few people/groups online who know me that way, so I have a tendency to call myself that on WordPress, but I’m no longer using it to maintain anonymity.
PPS Please feel free to contact me at opinionsofawolf[at]gmail[dot]com.

I love your site. Keep it up !
Hey Knowledge–Sorry it took so long for your comment to show up. It got filtered as spam for some reason, and it took me a bit to notice it. Anyway, thank you very much for the kind words/encouragement!
cheers. nice to e-meet you!
Thanks for the comment. I’m excited to check out your blog.
How did you find me? Is it because I’m on a library board or did you not know that?
Also, strange coincidence, one of my all time favorite bands is Wolfie.
Hi Jessica, thanks for the return visit!
You know the tag surfing feature in WordPress? I have “Boston” as one of my tags in that, and your recent trip to Boston was tagged as such. I had no idea you’re on a library board, just saw your trip to my city. Fun coincidence!
Hey, thanks for visiting. You sound like someone I should be best friends with if I am in Boston – coz you are a librarian!
Aww, you’re so sweet! Thanks for taking the time to make a return visit.
I gave you an award http://kinnareads.wordpress.com/2010/08/28/one-award-but-fifteen-new-book-blogs/
Way cool! Thanks, Kinna!
Hi, nice to meet you !
You as well!
Hi there, you just commented on my DNF review of The Lucifer Code (good move taking it off your TBR list by the way) and came over to visit. I live just north of Boston and work downtown, and thought I’d leave you a comment! I like your blog so I’m sure I’ll be back!
Thanks for the return visit! I didn’t realize you live near Boston. That’s awesome!
Hi! Thanks for the visit to my blog!
Great blog you’ve got here. Keep up the good work.
